2008 Lamborghini Gallardo Superleggera: Super Light, Super Bright, Super Cool

Let’s cruise with this orange (Arancio Borealis) 2008 Lamborghini Gallardo Superleggera.

“Superleggera” means “Super Light” – this lightweight, track-oriented version is about 220 lbs lighter than the standard Gallardo – lots of carbon fiber goodies! Carbon fiber door panels, side skirts, rear diffuser, side mirrors, engine bonnet/cover, rear wing, interior dash panels, seats, onboard espresso machine…ok, ok, maybe not the espresso machine, but you get the idea! Add in lightweight Alcantara all over the interior (lighter than leather cows) with orange stitching and it’s just badass!

Oh, and it also happens to have that iconic 5.0 Liter V10 engine, with 530 hp and 376 lb-ft of torque. 0-62 mph in 3.8 seconds. Top speed of 196 mph.

Reportedly, 172 Superleggeras were made – 46 in orange, 45 in yellow, 37 in black, 10 in white, and 1 was custom-painted in pink (who knew!).

And the stock exhaust is one of the best-sounding exhausts you’ll hear!

This green monster is just that…a MONSTER. 6.5 Liters of V12 madness. 700 hp, 510 lb-feet of torque. 0-60 mph in 2.9 seconds. Top speed of 217 mph.

Ferrari 458 Italia: Sleek, Fast, and Born to Run

Here’s an Italian thoroughbred born to run fast!…a Ferrari 458 Italia. And no, it’s not red. It’s not yellow. It’s not black. It’s not white. It’s metallic gray – also known as Grigio Titanio – a color that really highlights the sleek lines of the car. And the 5-spoke wheels provide large “windows” for the contrasting yellow calipers.

This machine runs like the wind – like a proper race horse should. With its 4.5 Liter V8 engine (naturally aspirated), it has the numbers to prove it: 570 hp, 398 lb-feet of torque; 0-60 mph in 3.3 seconds; Top Speed 202 mph. Throw in a seamless dual-clutch, lighting-fast, 7-speed paddle-shift transmission and it’s lights out for all the other challengers right out of the gate!

So let’s go for a drive and see if we can chase this thing down! Hey, it’s all about giving it the ‘ole college try!

The 3-Pedal, Manual Transmission Exotic Car: A Dying Breed

If you’re a car enthusiast, odds are you learned how to drive a car with a manual transmission. You know…cars with that clutch pedal on the side, a “stick shift”, and all that “old-school” technology.

So let’s say you’re a successful plastic surgeon or dermatologist or well…ok, let’s be real…you’re probably a dentist/orthodondist who escaped this ENTIRE health-care reform stuff ( 😀 ) and you’re looking to purchase a brand-spanking new exotic supercar? Well, here’s the harsh reality: modern exotic cars with 3 pedals and a gated shifter are becoming obsolete and if you are looking to order your brand new exotic car with that iconic gated shifter…well, good luck with THAT!

So it’s refreshing when you come across a modern exotic supercar with the old-school 6-speed shifter! Especially if it’s a Lamborghini! Oh my!

Enter this SUPER RARE Lamborghini LP570 Superleggera: Dressed in a “subtle” metallic gray known as “Grigio Lynx”, this modern exotic sports the proper specs – with its 5.2 Liter V10 engine pumping out 570 hp and 397 lb-feet of torque. 0-62 mph in 3.4 seconds; Top speed around 202 mph.

But here’s the best spec of all: a 6-speed gated manual! Oh yeah! You see, you just KNOW that this car was meant to be enjoyed and the owner KNEW that – as he could have easily bought any of the boatloads of E-Gear, paddle-shifting Superleggeras out there…but he DIDN’T! Cuz you know – it simply doesn’t get any more fun than driving a modern exotic and rowing through the gears! 🙂

A Rare Orange BMW E92 M3: Lime Rock Park Edition M3

Yes, the BMW M3 is a cool car. With its 4.0 Liter naturally-aspirated V8 engine, it makes a respectable 414 hp and 295 lb-feet of torque. And it looks cool, too. With BMW trending more towards turbocharged cars in their newest models, the M3’s current V8 engine might be the last of a dying breed of naturally-aspirated, high-revving BMW engines (sigh!).

If you’ve been aching for an M3 and you want perhaps the ultimate M3, well, here’s a candidate for you: a RARE orange BMW E92 M3 Lime Rock Park Edition. Dressed in a bright, flashy suit called “Fire Orange”, this M3 looks special just sitting still! One of only 200 ever made, you won’t see too many of these around and your M3 will stand out among all the rest for sure!

So why is it called the “Lime Rock Park Edition M3”? Well, BMW and the Lime Rock Park racetrack have had a long-standing relationship over the years and why not commemorate this partnership with a special-edition M3 – it just makes sense, no?

Some highlights of this unique M3 include the following: special Fire Orange paint, carbon fiber roof, lightweight/titanium exhaust system, carbon fiber front and rear pieces, M3 Competition Package, and just flat-out good looks! The power numbers are the same as the standard M3 (414 hp, 295 lb-feet torque), but this M3 will turn heads like no other!

And this particular M3 was modified even further by the owner, with its black Volk Racing wheels and other minor cosmetic tweaks, making it look even better.

So if you’re looking for a new Ultimate Driving Machine and you want an M3, this might just be the Ultimate M3!
