A car made for the Red Planet: Lamborghini LP570-4 Super Trofeo Stradale
Who said only Ferraris can be RED? Well, it wasn’t Automobili Lamborghini who said that… 😉
Lamborghini is known for making wild and extreme cars. Cars from another planet, one could say. Cars from the “Red Planet” Mars, perhaps?
Here’s a rare gem for you…one of only 150 in the world! A Lamborghini Gallardo LP570-4 Super Trofeo Stradale, finished in a brilliant red exterior (Rosso Mars) with red brake calipers and carbon fiber EVERYWHERE! This is a race car for the streets, with its 5.2 Liter V10 engine pumping out 570 hp and 397 lb-feet of torque. 0-62 mph in 3.4 seconds; Top speed is 199 mph.
Inspired by the Gallardo Super Trofeo race car, this car sports a big wing (made of carbon fiber) and a quick-release engine cover (also made of carbon fiber). The Super Trofeo Stradale also has an interior filled with Alcantara (with red stitching) and carbon fiber goodies left and right!
So, who wants to order one?… 😉
Lamborghini Gallardo Spyder with LOC Exhaust: Sweet Sounds!
Nothing sounds like a Lamborghini, right? Well, you’re partially correct. Let’s rephrase the statement…
Nothing sounds like a Lamborghini with an aftermarket exhaust. Now you are correct! You see, most exotic cars come from the factory with restrictions…for a wide variety of reasons. We’re sure Lamborghini didn’t choose it to be this way – and yes, a stock Lamborghini sounds very good for sure. But you know, it’s all relative. To bring out the TRUE SOUND of the car – the true essence of what the car SHOULD sound like – the exhaust needs to be opened up and the engine sound needs to be released!
For example, here is a Balloon White (pearl white) Lamborghini Gallardo Spyder with an LOC Exhaust. Listen to the car as it starts up, revs lightly, and lets out some low-RPM growls: 🙂
Now let’s follow this Gallardo Spyder as it scoots along some nice country roads!
LOC stands for Lamborghini of Orange County, which is no longer in existence and is now Lamborghini of Newport Beach (LNB). The LOC exhaust is/was a favorite of many Lamborghini enthusiasts due to its great sound – and you can hear it for yourself as another Gallardo follows along. It’s like having the best seat in the house at your favorite concert! 😉

Nightlife in the City: Orange Lamborghini Aventador LP700-4
Is there anything better than a nice dinner and hanging out with friends for some fun? Maybe. Maybe not. Now what if you happened to have an orange Lamborghini Aventador LP700-4? Well then, the fun factor just increased 100-fold! 🙂
Here is an amazing orange (Arancio Argos) Lamborghini Aventador LP700-4 spotted out and about in the city at night. This is nightlife living at its best!
So, what do you think of this orange Aventador? Would you take your Aventador to dinner out in the city? Where would YOU park it? 😉
Let’s have some candy!…in moderation, of course!
Nobody says you can NEVER have any candy. Candy is a part of every culture in the world, for cryin’ out loud! So how about an early morning drive with some Skittles for breakfast!
Ok, ok, maybe it’s not quite the sweet and sour Skittles you were thinking of, but this is even better…Lamborghinis, Porsches, Lotuses, BMW, and a Lexus LFA thrown in for good measure. 🙂
Let’s follow this colorful group of candy-colored cars, as they head out bright and early to a local exotic car dealership…or is it the Willie Wonka Factory? 😉
The Ultimate Italian Drive: Lamborghini Aventador LP700-4…in Pearl Yellow!
As you already know, we LOVE Lamborghini’s latest supercar…the Lamborghini Aventador LP700-4.
As the saying goes, “Everyone should own a V12 Lamborghini at some point in their life!” 🙂
So who said that? Hell, we have no idea and we don’t really care, because it’s just so damn true! 😛
Well, what if you don’t quite have the “funding” to buy a brand new Lamborghini Aventador to park in your garage? 🙁
Answer: You do the next best thing. You go for a drive with one! A yellow one! A bright, gleaming, Giallo Orion (pearl yellow), scissor-door opening, V12 beast! This latest Italian bull carries a big heart: a 6.5 Liter, naturally-aspirated heart pumping out 700 hp and 507 lb-feet of torque. That’s what we call an enlarged heart for sure! But no worrying about any hypertrophic cardiomyopathy on this machine…this one was built and designed to handle it. 😉
As they say, “There’s nothing like Italian cooking!” So who said THAT? Well, anyone who’s ever had ANYTHING cooked up in Italy. 🙂

1999 Lamborghini Diablo SV: Italian V12 Masterpiece!
Some machines just speak for themselves…and well…this is one of them: Lamborghini Diablo SV
SV is short for “Super Veloce”, which translates to “Super Fast”. This car is all business and when you see one and hear one, you know you’re seeing something unique and special.
So let’s party like it’s 1999! Only about 100 SV models were made for 1999. Listen, look, and enjoy this Italian V12 masterpiece!…5.7 Liter V12 engine, 529 hp, 446 lb-feet of torque. Manual transmission, rear-wheel drive.

Sunny Day Drive: Audi R8 V10 Spyder, Lamborghini Gallardo
For car enthusiasts, nothing says “go out and drive!” like a sunny day compels you to. And if you have a convertible, there is nothing better than top-down weather. And if you have an Audi R8 V10 Spyder (convertible)…well then, you’ve got the “Ultimate Tanning Machine” – to paraphrase a saying from Audi’s main rival (BMW). 😉
And to add to the ambience, some things just speak for themselves: Here’s a beautiful black Audi R8 V10 Spyder (convertible) with a beautiful girl driving it…on a beautiful, sunny day. Now if THAT doesn’t catch one’s attention…well, we don’t know WHAT will. 😉
2013 SRT Viper GTS: Calling all Toxicologists!…this Snake will Bite!
Don’t say we didn’t warn you. When it comes to venomous snakes, you’ll need to have some good anti-venom on hand…and it’s wise to have a top-notch toxicologist on hand, too.
But sometimes all the toxicology expertise you can gather just ain’t gonna help you. Because there is no anti-venom for this slithery beast… 😉
Introducing the new 2013 SRT Viper GTS, decked out in a beautiful yet venomous Stryker Red tinted pearl color (sort of like a candy apple red). As the saying goes: “Out with the OLD; in with the NEW”…these new Vipers will now be branded with the SRT name (SRT stands for “Street and Racing Technology”, the high-performance division of Chrysler)…in other words, they will no longer carry the “Dodge” label. This new Viper is 100 lbs lighter than its previous iteration (dry weight around 3200 lbs; the new Viper’s body is composed of a mixture of carbon fiber, aluminum, and composites).
This deadly snake will bite you, big-time! With its beastly 8.4 Liter V10 engine (naturally aspirated), this Viper has power and LOTS of it: 640 hp and 600 lb-feet of torque, to be specific. And it will chase you down all the way up to 206 mph, so good luck trying to escape this slithery predator!
The new 2013 SRT Viper GTS will inject a deadly dose of venom into its victims, so you might want to keep those horses (Ferraris) and bulls (Lamborghinis) at a safe distance from this deadly reptile!
See more pictures of the new Viper here: 2013 SRT Viper GTS
For those of you with a phobia of snakes (we suspect there are a lot of you out there 😉 ), no worries…you can watch our video of this snake from the safety of your home or office. 🙂
Video includes a walk-around of the car and also features commentary by the actual designer himself, SRT CEO Ralph Gilles, straight from the Motor City of Detroit!
So, what do you think of this new venomous Viper? Who’s ready to place their order? 🙂
How to Drive in Heavy Rain: Very Carefully!
When it rains, it pours. Yes, we like to be masters of the OBVIOUS! 😛
Sometimes you just get caught in the rain while driving. It happens. When you do, here are some things to keep in mind:
1. Slow down! Check the speed limit where you are and stay close to it, if not below it.
2. Try to keep a safe distance from the other cars on the road. If other cars are driving fast, let them pass you freely while YOU stay at a safe speed.
3. Make sure your headlights are on. Visibility is compromised in heavy downpours, so you want your car to be as visible as possible.
4. Maintain situational awareness at all times. This is not the time to be fiddling with your iPhone/iPad, talking on your cell phone, or doing anything else except concentrating on the road. Turn the radio down (hell, turn it off even) to help maximize your concentration.
5. Avoid making sudden movements, such as sudden lane changes, sudden braking, sudden turning, etc. Gradual, smooth movements are safer. You are not driving a slot car or race car!
6. Make sure your wipers are on and your seatbelts are fastened. These are obvious things, but hey, do it anyway!
7. Drive with both hands on the wheel and in the proper driving position. None of this one-hand-draped-over-the-wheel and seat-reclined-all-the-way back stuff.
Here’s a BMW 335i driving in heavy rain. As the rain eases up, the spires of the country’s tallest temple come into view over the horizon!
Sushi Lunch Drive: Drive Healthy, Eat Healthy!
As a physician, you know how important it is to eat a healthy, well-balanced diet. What could be better than sushi! It’s fresh, it has healthy omega-3 fatty acids, it’s tasty, and it’s fun to eat!
And if you’re a car enthusiast, you want to drive healthy, too. And what better way to get those healthy endorphins going than by driving a Lamborghini…or two! 😉
So let’s join this group as they head out to enjoy a fun, fresh, and healthy sushi lunch. As the cows and chickens say in those commercials: “Eat more fish!”… 😛
